4.1 General disclaimer

A polygraph examination does not determine guilt or innocence.
It is one investigative tool that may assist in evaluating information relating to a defined issue.

4.3 No absolute accuracy
No polygraph examination is represented as 100% accurate, infallible or free from limitations.

interruptions;

professional methodology;

4.4 No guaranteed legal admissibility
V3 does not guarantee that a polygraph result or report will be admitted, accepted or assigned a particular weight by:
a court;
the CCMA;
a bargaining council;
a disciplinary hearing;
an employer;
the police;
an insurer;
an attorney;
another decision-maker.
Admissibility and evidentiary weight depend on the applicable law, procedure and facts.

 

4.5 No guarantee of outcomes
V3 does not guarantee:
an admission;
recovery of stolen property;
identification of an offender;
dismissal or exoneration of an employee;
conviction or acquittal;
settlement of a dispute;
relationship reconciliation;
approval of an insurance claim;
any commercial or legal outcome.

 

4.6 Client decision-making
The client remains responsible for all decisions made after receiving a report.
V3 does not make the final decision regarding:
employment;
discipline;
criminal complaints;
litigation;
relationships;
insurance;
commercial action;
reputational or public statements.

 

4.7 Misuse prohibited
No person may use V3’s services or reports to:
threaten or blackmail another person;
publish defamatory allegations;
unlawfully dismiss or discriminate against someone;
mislead a court or tribunal;
fabricate evidence;
harass or intimidate an examinee;
represent an inconclusive or qualified result as definitive;
claim that V3 established guilt or innocence.
